One day in early 2010, while I was sitting with a colleague in Meydan Grandstand, Dubai, I was wondering what if we were working on a FIFA World Cup instead of horse racing!
In early 2014, I got an email from the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy (SC), the official Qatari authority behind the FIFA World Cup 2022 host country readiness and operations, offering me a position within the Marketing & Communications Department. I walked to the window, smiled to myself in the glass reflection, and said, “don’t think twice. Accept the challenge to achieve your dream”. And the journey started from that moment building towards Qatar 2022.
During the last nine years, I put together all the hard work, determination, and effort, days and nights, on land, sea, and air – all to achieve the dream!
Currently, I’m the Creative Content Senior Manager within the Marketing Department. Leading a team of 14 talented English and Arabic Copywriters and planners. Together with everyone in our department, the SC, and stakeholders, we recently delivered the most amazing FIFA World Cup™ in history.

During the last ten years, I have been: 
- Co-managing the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ and AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023™ Host Country Marketing projects hand-in-hand with leads of Advertising, Media Buying, Brand Management, Film Production, Digital Marketing, and Dressing teams
- Leading a team of 14 talented English and Arabic copywriters and planners to deliver the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 Host Country Marketing initiatives including delivering successful campaigns either out of home or across digital platforms (web, CRM, YouTube, apps, and social media), along with publications, TV commercials, films, and events
- Presenting creative concepts to senior management and leadership
- Providing exceptional and clear input to ensure the success of projects including accuracy and consistency of the messaging throughout the marketing communication channels
- Developing outstanding Arabic creative content that is tailored to the target audience and platforms
- Setting the Arabic Writing Style Guide to ensure the accuracy and consistency of the messaging throughout the marketing communication channels
- Providing Guidance and Advice to the Creative Content, Digital Marketing, Advertising, Branding, Media Buying, Social Media, Communications, and Film Production
- Driving communications and workshops with internal and external partners including teams, and creative agencies
- Representing the SC and the Host Country in several regional and international events
